Our official launch date for this site is set for February 1st, 2009. Until then, many of the links will be deactivated, and much of the site will be unavailable as we are still finishing up the last of the design and debugging. However, the flash arcade is working now, as are the forum and chat rooms.
MI-Gamer is a community site for Michigan gamers. It doesn't matter what the game is, from chess to World of Warcraft, our goal is to provide a place for gamers of all types to gather, share, and perhaps cross-over and learn new games.
If you are a Michigan gamer, and you would like to help with suggestions and comments for us, please contact us and we'll respond within 72 hours.
One of the core features of any good game site is reviews. We're currently trying to devise a standard review format, but if you want to offer to write a review, we are interested in hearing from you. Please contact us.
Please note that we want all our reviews to be written by regular gamers; if you represent a game company, please let us know and we can feature your product in our up-coming Spotlight section.
Because a strong sense of community is important to the central concept of MI-Gamer, one of our first priorities was to make sure our forum and chat rooms were working. I'm pleased to say that they are working now, and anyone can sign up as a member.
It's important to know that our chat rooms are integrated with our forums. This means that in order to log into the chat rooms, you must be a registered member of our forum.
