Why MI-Gamer ?
There's just something about games... Whether it's sports, sudoku, or even shooting your buddy in Halo, is there anyone that doesn't play some kind of game? Games are a unifying force that brings people together despite barriers of language, ethnicity, or age. Games are a social activity, and so I've made MI-Gamer.com to be not just a site about games, but also to be a community where everyone is welcome.
The "MI" in MI-Gamer.com stands for the state of Michigan, within the United States. However, that doesn't mean MI-Gamer.com is just for people in Michigan! MI-Gamer.com is open to everyone, across the entire world. Our Spotlight feature and our Classifieds will focus primarily on Michigan game shops and Michigan games, but our News and Review sections should be useful to anyone regardless of where you live.
Who is Bruke?
I've been known as the Bruke for more than 20 years now, since I was just a kid in high school. I started playing role-playing games and miniatures war games back in the early 1980's and computer games in the mid-80's. Over the years, I've played a bit of sports, poker, and more board games than I could easily remember. I believe that every genre of games has it's good and bad points, and that there are no bad types of games, even if some types don't appeal to me personally.
